I just love this image, found my friend welding late night, he doesn't like me to shoot him, so it was at a distance, and of course no flash. I was able to mess with the exposure, and lighting, then add the moon for fun in the background, hope he loves it also!

This is definitely an interesting creation; does he hire out for Halloween parties? One thing I noticed was that certain layers appear to have been dragged over in a rectangle shape and still have their original borders. This can be adjusted in two ways: either one could use the lasso tool (magnetic might be a good choice) or one could move the shape as is and use the eraser to delete some of the edges, therefore revealing more of the layer below. For instance, the layer just to the left of your friend's head. However, the photo looks great and it sounds like you had a lot of fun making it.
This is a great picture Diana! I like the midnight hour, kind of eerie feeling that the moon gives to the picture. I read Jay's post and am curious if you softened the edges because I can't seem to see where it is - the area to the left of the head looks like a metal protective plate that is part of the equipment to me(?) of course it is late and my eyesight is not the best either!
Diana I love the caption and this is a great shot! He will really like it. The composition is great with the moon on thirds and the welder working with the glow behind!
