Diana these are very beautiful photos and well composed. I can feel the wind and hear the sound of his wings flapping! Congrats on also capturing the shot!!
Is that a Blue Heron?

Thanks, love the feed back. Yes these are from my home, around my home. I believe that is A Great Blue Heron,.. yes on my pond! No fish,..so I was amazed she/he stuck around long enough! Thanks!
What great shots, reflection and all. That's wonderful that they visit your pond; excellent opportunity for photo sessions. Recently a heron flew right over my house and landed in a pond about 100 yards away. I ran in my house to grab my camera, but he was gone within a minute.
Fantastic pictures. You captured the movement perfectly and the color is so saturating. You can almost feel the breeze as the heron takes off.
